Faktura365 is built by Volodin s. r. o., a software company based in Bratislava. The team has more than ten years in IT — development, testing, security and consulting.

In short: why the service exists, who writes what you read in the guides, and where the limit of our responsibility runs.

Why the service exists

We are foreigners running our own business in Slovakia, and we went through this ourselves. The first invoice cost us several days. Slovak invoicing programs speak Slovak only, and the ones that are understandable ask for a card at the door. What took longest, though, was the answer to a question nobody explains plainly: what exactly has to be on an invoice for an accountant to accept it without a phone call — ours and the client’s alike.

We built that answer for ourselves first, for our own invoices. That is why issuing invoices here is free and will stay free: only the sending of e-invoices will be charged for, once it becomes mandatory in 2027, because delivery through a certified provider costs us too.

Who writes this

The product and the copy are ours. Everything that touches tax, mandatory details and deadlines is not written from memory: practising accountants advised us on the Slovak rules, and every claim in a guide rests on a named paragraph of an act.

How we write the guides

• Every legal claim rests on a specific paragraph, and the act is named at the foot of the page under “Sources”. You can check us without leaving the page.
• Every figure a law can change — a turnover threshold, a deadline, a rate — carries its year. A figure without a year is untrue a year later.
• Every guide shows the date it was last reviewed. We move that date only when the text really changed: a fresh date without an edit deceives the reader.
• We do not write a page for the sake of having one. If we have nothing to add to the wording of the law, the page does not get written.

What we do not do

We do not replace your accountant. What is written here is general information, not personal tax or legal advice: your situation may differ from the typical one, and the cost of a mistake is yours, not ours. When in doubt, ask your účtovník — it is cheaper than dealing with the consequences.
